Several of the books include experiments, which readers can use to practice the skills as they are explained. The materials needed are easily found and inexpensive. Unfortunately, the majority of the people shown in the photos are white men. With the current emphasis on preparing students for college and careers, this series could be useful for schools introducing technical or process writing.
