Stapled paper booklet. A circa 1950 reprint of the original Paris edition. No publisher, time, or place indicated."Number One of The Library of Living Poetry" at the top of the front cover and "Originally published in Paris" at the bottom. 22 pp, With a frontispiece drawing of Hemingway on the reverse of the cover page and a photograph of Hemingway with a drink in his hand on the rear cover. Our copy is faded around the cover edges and the front cover has a small ink mark on the center edge and other minor soiling. The front cover page curls up at the outer corner. Thus, about good condition.

The collection originated when I bought some charming old books from a mansion down the street and found Alberta's name in them. As years went by, I was continually attracted to the kind of well-made, often beautiful books that were commonly bought as gifts and to form reading libraries around 1900 - the kind of books Alberta had. But we also collect and now sell other kinds of books as well and we are always interested in acquiring out-of-print books that are in exceptionally good condition.
