This collection of poems by the noted NZ poet R A K Mason was published by Pegusus in conjunction with Denis Glover and with the assistance of the NZ Literary Fund and was the first major assembly of his works, beginning from 1923 and moving chronoligically to the early 1940s. It was regarded as definitive for his poems to that time. Included are a selection from his unpublished manuscripts. An introduction by Alan Curnow summarises Mason's career and achievements. About 70 of his poems are included in the collection. 113 pages, neatly inked name on front pastedown, text block otherwise excellent. Red hard covers with black spine titles VG+.
