Includes 'Robert An Appreciation' by David Tibet, 'Robert Remembered' by Ramsey Campbell, and 'An Essay' by Aickman written in response to receiving the World Fantasy Award in 1975 for best short story. A few of Aickman's stories, like 'The Cicerones,' are in the Jamesian tradition. Robert Fordyce Aickman (1914-1981) was an English writer and conservationist. As a writer, he is best known for this, his supernatural fiction, which he described as 'strange stories.'
