8vo, leather spine and tips with marbled boards, some illustrations, gilt lines on spine. Light edge wear, some cracking to leather spine, remnant of small label on spine, manuscript index on front pastedown, ink number at the foot of second page, scattered light foxing, a couple of pages trimmed close with slight letter loss, occasional staining; otherwise very good. This is a fairly broad collection of 21 early 19th century American political pamphlets. The collection includes two speeches by Daniel Webster to the Senate in 1834, The Jubilee of the Constitution by John Quincy Adams (1839), Governor Samuel Young's Oration July 4th 1840, Hugh L. White Resignation Letter (1840), and an Address and Suppressed Report, New Jersey Case, 1840. Also included is a copy of The National Magazine and Republican Review (1839), Pictures of the Times (illustrated), Coleman's Monthly Miscellany July 1839 (illustrated), Sermon at Williams College by Edward D, Griffin (1827), and an Address of the Louisiana Native American Association (1839). An abbreviated manuscript list of the articles is included on the front pastedown.
