With an introduction by Montgomery Belgion, a French-born British author and scholar. A Selection of Poems by Coventry Patmore, 1948. Edited and introduced by Derek Patmore, a British writer and war correspondent who was the great grandson of Coventry Patmore. A Selection of Poems by Algernon Charles Swinburne, 1948. Edited and introduced by Henry Treece, a British poet and writer who also worked as a teacher and editor. Thomas Hood Selected Poems, 1948. Selected and introduced by Clifford Dyment, a British poet, literary critic, editor and journalist. Robert Burns Poems, 1949. Selected and introduced by Christopher Murray Grieve, under his pen name Hugh MacDiarmid, a Scottish poet, journalist, essayist and political figure. Selected Poems of Thomas Gray, 1953. Selected and introduced by John Rodgers, a British writer and journalist. In the original pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, smart with light bumping and minor chipping to the extremities. Light sunning to the spines with the odd small mark to the boards. Original unclipped dust wrappers to William Wordsworth and Robert Burns, with light wear to the extremities and sunning to the spines. The odd small mark to the panels with small closed tears to the head of the spine of William Wordsworth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with minor age toning and the odd spot to the extremities. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Very Good Indeed.…
