Datelined with multiple dates in 1900, Sacramento, California. The Statement date is July 2. The billhead date is July 14. The cash advance form dates are August 9 and 14 and September 13. Sizes range between about 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" and 8 1/2" x 4 3/4." Statement, billhead, and cash advance forms are very clean and intact overall except for light age toning, a few horizontal and vertical fold lines, occasional rippling, a few small closed tears at the edges, and a paper stub tipped in at one edge on back of all three cash advance forms and the billhead. Each form and the entire collection are Very Good. A collection of five forms, one Statement, one billhead, and three cash advance forms, from H. S. Crocker Company of Sacramento, California to Frank Kunsting of Franklin, California. There are two line items each on the Statement and billhead. The Statement shows two transactions on June 8 and 20. The billhead shows Kunsting bought a "Journal" and another item. The cash advance forms are order forms on which Kunsting has checked which "State School Books" he wants to buy. Among the books he ordered are the "Revised Fourth Reader," "Advanced Arithmetic," "Lessons in Language," "Revised English Grammar," "U. S. History," "Elementary Geography," and "Physiology." Instructions on the forms show Kunsting is to pay H. S. Crocker Co. by cash for the books ordered. The printed header on the Statement reads, "In Account with H. S. Crocker Company, 208-210 J Street, Importing Stationers and Printers." The printed header on the billhead reads, "From H. S. Crocker Company, To [.]; Stationers, Booksellers, Printers, Lithographers, Blank Book Manufacturers, Etc." The printed header on each of the cash advance forms reads, "Cash Advances for State School Books [.] H. S. Crocker Co." H. S. Crocker Company, as shown by the headers, was a printing company. There is currently an H. S. Crocker Co. in business to this day, which may be the one and the same.
