Best remembered for her actions in politics and marriage which sparked rebellion from Scottish nobles. Portraits et Notices Historiques et Litteraires, 1852. Two volumes. Second edition. A collection of biographical sketches and details of the works of various important literary figures. Antonio Perez et Philippe II, 1853. Second edition. A detailed work on the relationship between Antonio Perez, a Spanish statesman and secretary to the King, and Philp II of Spain. Perez is said to have had great influence over the King. Histoire de la Revolution Francaise Depuis 1789 Jusqu'en 1814, 1861. Two volumes. Eighth edition. The history of the period of radical political and societal change of the French Revolution. Charles-Quint Son Abdication Son Sejour et Sa Mort Au Monastere de Yuste, 1862. Fourth edition. The life of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, Archduke of Austria, King of Spain, and Lord of the Netherlands as Duke of Burgundy. Includes details of his abdications, retirement, and death. Bound in quarter crushed morocco with patterned board. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot to the first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed.
