Two parts in one volume. Daniel's history was first published in part in 1612 and completed around 1618. Trussell's continuation was incorporated into the fourth edition of 1650. With two early manuscript notes associated with the volume loosely inserted, including a manuscript letter dated 2 June 1704, addressed to Thomas Hunt Esq. at Boreatton near Shrewsbury and retaining remnants of its wax seals. An extensive history of medieval England. Daniel's narrative begins with the Norman Conquest and continues to the end of the reign of Edward III, while Trussell's continuation carries the history through the dynastic struggles of the Houses of York and Lancaster to the reign of Henry VII. Slight loss to lower fore edge of T5, not affecting the text. The odd light spot; faint tide marking to lower corners of first few leaves and one or two gatherings.
