Actions and events included "March Against Death," held November 13 to 16, [1969] which involved "delegations from every state representing American war dead and Vietnam villages destroyed, walking in a 36 hour single file procession from Arlington National Cemetery to the Capitol;" the "March on Washington" a march followed by a rally and folk concert held on Saturday, November 15, [1969]; and "continuing actions sponsored by constituency groups," held November 16, [1969]. Includes two different flyers announcing the March on Washington; a two sided sheet listing organizational endorsements, supporting organizations, and congressional endorsements; a newspaper clipping of an advertisement for Citizens for S-3000 to end the war and a fundraising letter from Dr. Benjamin Spock on "Fifth Avenue Vietnam Peace Parade Committee" letterhead dated October 13, 1969. Those planning to be at the march included Dave Dellinger, Coretta King, Dr. Benjamin Spock, George Wald, Arlo Guthrie, Jimi Hendrix, Richie Havens, Peter, Paul & Mary, Tom Paxton, the cast of "Hair" and others. Very Good. Vol. 1: folded in four with yellowed edges, rusting of staple, holes from a removed staple and light edge-wear including a 2 mm. tear; vol. 2: folded in four, 2 mm. soiling to recto, 1.3 cm. of soiling to verso, 4.8 cm. dog-ear to top right corner of recto with additional light edge-wear; vol. 3: folded in four with light edge-wear and a 18.6 x 11 cm. area of yellowing from contact with the newspaper clipping; vol. 4: yellowed newspaper clipping stapled in half; vol. 5: folded in four with 18.1 x 10.9 cm. of light yellowing from contact with newspaper clipping and light edge-wear.
