[16], 319 p. + 1 p. of advertising. 14 cm. Rebound in green half leather with marbled boards. Newer endpapers. Tear in lower part of front hinge. Ink signature crossed out in marker on front free endpaper. Marker at bottom of title page has affected rear and first page of text. Chip and signature to title page. Thumbing, chipped edges, small tears throughout. Bottom corner of p. 71 missing and small mark on p. 244. John Norris of Bemerton (1657–1711) was an English theologian, philosopher and poet. His quiet life as a country parson and thinker provided him with time to write about many topics, including politics, religion, philosophy and Christian living.
