Collection of nine original stock certificates for shares in the Middlesex County National Bank in Middleton, Connecticut. Various dates in 1899 and 1900. 9 1/4" x 5 1/2." Each stock certificate is very celan and intact except for light age toning, a few wrinkles, and slight wear to extremities. Each stock certificate and the entire collection are Very Good. In this collection, each stock certificate is issued to a different individual or organization. Shares are $100 each and certificates vary in value from $300 to $1500. All certificates are signed by the current president of Middlesex County National Bank, James K. Guy, and the cashier, W. B. Hubbard. All certificates also have tipped-in document stamps (two to three each in left margin). Distributions made on the shares are also noted as stamps in different colors. Middlesex County National Bank was first organized on August 31, 1830. Henry L. Dekoven was the bank's first president.
