Including "The Distrest Mother" volume four of the English Theatre collection, by Ambrose Philips, "The Fair Penitent" by Nicholas Rowe, "The London Merchant, or the History of George Barnwell" by Mr. Lillo, "The Gamester" the fifth edition by Susanna Centlivre, and The Happy Favourite, or The Earl of Essex" by John Banks. Three of the works feature an engraved frontispiece. In a calf binding. Externally, a trifle rubbed, with wear to extremities, and slight loss to the spine. Calf is cracked to both joints, with the front being strained. Internally, firmly bound, with instances of light spotting. Ink signature to the front free endpaper. Good.
