Volumes 1, 2. Ex-library and may have the usual library/used-book markings inside. Hardback covers. In poor condition, suitable as a reading copy. No dust jacket. Quarto. Leather binding with gilt lettering on the backstrip and coloured bands. Bumped corners and scuffed edges. Marks and scratches on covers as well as leather wearing away. Foxing on some pages. Age-toned and grimy pages. Book 1 contains pen and pencil markings. Normal binding. Ink stains on page edges of both books. Some creases in pages. Tape has been used to repair some pages of book 1.
