Edited by Dr. Wilks and Dr. Daldy. 8vo. Full burgundy calf with decorative gilt, compartments, gilt spine. xxxi, 242pp. Sewn-in burgundy silk page marker. All edges gilt. Illustrations, marbled endpapers. Fine. A tight and handsome facsimile reprint of the New Sydenham Society's 1868 edition (London). A volume in the nifty "Classics of Medicine" facsimile series, with promotional material and numbered bookplate and a "Notes from the Editors" booklet (that accompanied a revised 1991 edition) laid in. English physician Addison (1793-1860) is best known for identifying the adrenal disfunction that bears the name Addison's Disease.
