A Collection Of State Papers: Relative To The War Against France Now Carrying On By Great-Britain And The Several Other European Powers. This volume assembles a dense, official dossier of military and naval dispatches from 1795–1796, detailing Britain's multi-front war against Revolutionary France and its allies. Geographically, it covers the European theaters (Germany, the Rhine, and allied actions), the Caribbean theatres (Grenada, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Jamaica, and the Windward Islands), the Indian Ocean and Asia (Ceylon and Malacca), and the Cape region. The contents include strategic summaries of sieges, capitulations, and garrisons, as well as extensive casualty tallies, ordnance inventories, and lists of officers and units affected across regiments and naval crews. The volume also presents a parallel body of local proclamations, decrees, and orders framing colonial governance, privateering, naval administration, and wartime finance. Framed as a documentary, primary-source record for government and public reference, it illustrates the global scale, coordination of land and sea power, and administrative handling of sieges, capitulations, and colonial governance during the period.
