Blue cloth boards. Bumping, some wear to the spine extremities and to the corners. Some light rubbing, soil, & small stains to the boards & spine. Gilt lettering on the spine is bright. Page edges and endpapers a bit age-toned, with some spotting on the endpapers. Taped tear across the title page, with some loss at the spine end (no loss of text). Previous owners name at the bottom of the title page. Else pages clean. Laid-in is a single folded sheet entitled: "Constitution of the Illinois State Historical Society", and a small receipt for payment of annual Historical Society dues, dated 1914. Contents include: Voyages and Discoveries of Marquette; French Plans of Conquest; Hennepin's Narrative; La Salle's Voyages; etc. This is a fairly heavy book; Priority and/or International may require shipping over and above standard costs. ; 25D; 642 pages.
