Collective Writings on the Lessac Voice and Body Work: A Festschrift (Paperback or Softback)

Lessac Kinesensic Voice and Body Training is an approach to voice, speech and movement that offers a unique way of learning and developing by discovering the synergy amongst all three modalities. Based on sensory learning and kinesthetic awareness, Lessac training is a bio-sensory approach that uses body and vocal energy states to awaken a largely untapped reservoir of knowledge, spirit, and perceptive awareness. Research by Arthur Lessac in the areas of voice, speech, body training, and clinical therapy has revealed a dynamic discipline applicable to artistic performance, athletics, therapy and personal well-being. The purpose is to deepen communication, enhance human potential, foster self-teaching, and promote creativity in everyday, professional and artistic endeavors. The Lessac Kinesensic Voice and Body Training is a resource that facilitates and extends optimal human behavior, performance, and clinical therapy. Its application can be found in colleges and universities, secondary schools, research institutions, theatre companies, and workshops in the United States and abroad. This book is a collection of personal experiences of and testimonies to the work, as well as research that engages with and extrapolates from the training, and is offered here as a dedication to Arthur Lessac.
