London and Glasgow: Collins, 1976-77, Later Editions. Contemporary Asprey full leather bindings with gilt titles to the spines, gilt lined compartments and all page edges gilt. Housed in a leather covered small book case, with a green felt base and stamped Asprey, London to the base. Minor wear, marks from the book case edges to the two outer volumes, gilt page edges, not opened to many of the pages. Strained to the gutter to the early pages of the Italian Dictionary but still secure. Most titles unopened. Size: Volumes approximately 4 ½ (11.3cm) inches tall. Bookcase 5 ¾ (15cm) inches wide at the base. Bookcase with books in 5 ½ (14cm) inches tall at the peak of the spine. Bookcase and books 4 ¾ (12.2cm) deep at the deepest. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles, six gilt bands, gently worn. Joints good condition gently rubbed, solid. Corners good condition. Boards good condition marks and fading/darkening where the book case rested against the outer volume boards. Page edges good condition all gilt. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition secure, strained to the gutter of the Italian Dictionary but secure. Paste downs good condition cream. End papers good condition cream. Title good condition clean.
