Excerpt from the Preface: The Colman Collection of Silver Mustard Pots was assembled by a member of the Colman family and acquired by Colman Foods early in 1974. The overall aim has been to collect the finest mustard pots made by national and provincial silversmiths over the last 250 years. The Collection has grown through acquisitions from auctions and dealers, and by means of gifts and commissions. The Collection is based in Norwich (the home of Colman’s Mustard) but it is intended that it should travel in England and abroad. 143 pages full of B&W photos, plus a chapter on mustard making, an index and glossary.
