About the Author

Lynn Joseph es una abogada estadounidense y autora de libros infantiles. Su novela corta, The Color of My Words, ganó el Premio Américas de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil y el Premio Jane Addams de Literatura Infantil.

Lynn Joseph nació en Trinidad y se mudó a Estados Unidos a los nueve años. Tras mudarse a Estados Unidos con su familia, pasaba los veranos en Trinidad. Durante su etapa de estudiante, escribía poemas y cuentos, y publicaba sus trabajos en revistas estudiantiles.

Se graduó de la Universidad de Colorado con una licenciatura en 1986 y de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Fordham con un doctorado en derecho en 1993. Después de la universidad, trabajó como asistente editorial en Harper & Row Children's Books. Durante su carrera como abogada, trabajó para la ciudad de Nueva York en el área de litigios y para Rohn & Carpenter, un bufete de abogados con sede en las Islas Vírgenes de Estados Unidos.
