The Color Red: An Immigration Story to Eternity

When the American dream of a young Chinese woman shatters into a million pieces in this land of the free, where can she find truth and hope?

She longed for freedom and truth.

She hoped for a brighter future.

She tried very hard to blend into the melting pot of the United States...

Despite living in between two cultures, despite the discrimination she faced as a woman at home and at work, and despite the challenges of being a working mother, Esther built the "perfect life"-marriage, children, a professional job, a beautiful house and two new cars in the garage. But something felt off.... Instead of living the dream, she soon found herself trapped in a nightmare.

The American dream once looked like a shiny and precious gold coin to her, but living it revealed the flip side-a harsh and fragile reality. Was the dream really a counterfeit all along?
