Brown cloth with mounted illustration within gilt border and title in gilt. 24 color plates accompanied by tissue guard sheets with captions and selected poems. Ownership stamp of Jeannette F. Thach of Walsenburg, CO to the front and rear endpapers. A large stain to the rear board. The bottom corner of the first plate is chipped, with no loss to the image or text. Verse from J. W. Wright, Cy Warman, G. G. Ferguson, Jas. Barton Adams, Mabel I. Woodruff and Helen Hunt Jackson.
