About the Author
Williams has published 20 books including the top selling tome on the best places to fish around the world — So Many Fish So Little Time: The 1001 Best Places on Earth to Fish from Harper Collins. Other books include Trout Fishing Sourcebook, The Backpacking Flyfisher, Flyfishing Southwestern Colorado, Knots for Flyfishers and Freshwater Flyfishing Tips from the Pros (Fireside/Simon and Schuster.) He and his wife Amy wrote two books with Wayfinder Press (Top 30 Things to Do in Durango, Top 30 Things to Do in Telluride).
Williams has traveled the world but finds himself more and more fishing small streams in New Mexico and Colorado and working on his second novel. He is an award-winning teacher (Brock International Prize in Education Finalist 2013) and teaches high school Social Studies, Media, English and Speech at North Heights Alternative School in Amarillo Texas. He and his students have written two books, Voices From the Heights and Paintings on the Walls. A third book with NHAS Students is now on Kindle, Voices and Paintings From the Heights.
W. Chad McPhail is also co-author of 49 Trout Streams of Southern Colorado in which he showcases many of his favorite photos of fly fishing in Colorado.
His next book was An Introduction to Fly Fishing for Trout – a pragmatic, pain-free approach to getting new fly fishers on the water and catching fish quickly. This book was also co-written with Williams.
His professional credentials include: ESPN.com, Thisisfly.com, Examiner.com, Suite101.com, The Angling Report, Texas Fish and Game, Rocky Mountain Game and Fish, Southwest Fly Fishing, Amarillo Globe News, and many more.
