Book Description Hazel Marie Weatherman, Springfield, MO, 1969. Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Foltz, Lauren and Fuller, Dan (illustrator). SIGNED (in ink) on "About the Author" page: "Sincerely, / Hazel." "'Colored glassware' as it is used in this book refers to that distinctive kind of transparent glass made in colors - primarily in pink, green, and amber - and molded into a great variety of different patterns during the late 1920's and early 1930's. Care should be taken not to confuse it with older antique glassware, especially since pattern names are sometimes identical. It is nearly impossible to describe this glassware in such a way as to distinguish it unquestionably from other, similar types; one almost has to see it to recognize its characteristic qualities. The best way to identify it, of course, is by color, which is nearly always uniform, and by pattern. You may have heard this glassware referred to as 'Depression Glass'; it was of course, made and sold primarily during those lean years." 83 pages. Book is in NEAR FINE condition (almost new). Paper wrappers. Seller Inventory # 002970
