About the Author
Walter Irving Ray, Jr. was born in Newburg, New York And grew up in Montclair, New Jersey. He now Resides with his family in Silver Spring, Maryland. His family; wife Rosemary, daughter Rosalind and Son Walter Irving Ray, 3rd are his pride and joy. Walter has had, what he considers, a blessed life And a story-book career. One of his most cherished Memories was when Mayor Marion Barry, Jr. Proclaimed Friday, April 10th, 1981 as Walter Irving Ray, Jr. day in Washington, D.C. Since retirement, summer months are often spent in Whitesboro, New Jersey. A neighbor, Florine Ball Affectionately known as `Aunt Flo' depicts the Christianity, the peace, the calm and the inspiration That you may see or feel in some of his writing. His poetry grows out of the knowledge of one's life Experiences, of his growth, of his people, of his Government and it's needs. Walter has a reasonable Affection and a wise and temperate jealousy about Making America better.* * Who's Who Among Black Americans (1975 -1976 )
