Cross stitch embroidery has a rich history in Eastern Europe, and has long appeared in folk dress as well as played a part in traditional weddings and other celebrations. It was also used for bed and table clothing. Embroidery has many variations from region to region, or even village to village. However, most embroidery is generally similar overall this part of Europe.
Red and black were the most common colors of embroidery, but you are free to choose your own colors!
The designs are of various difficulty levels and the images are printed on the fronts of pages only, so you don't need to worry about bleed-through if you choose to use markers and you can tear it from the notebook and have it framed!
