Winner of the Nautilus Book Award silver medal, National Indie Excellence Award, Purple Dragonfly Book Award, and BookLife Review’s Editor’s Choice Award.

A timeless story about the beauty and wonder created when differences are honored and celebrated.

A young trombonist pauses his practicing to wonder: what other musical voices exist?

When the sweet notes from a passing piccolo waft through his open window, the boy happily declares every musical voice be found!

Playing his horn through his neighborhood, he draws other curious children to join the parade. From Scottish bagpipes to French horns to a Janggu drum from Korea, each unique instrument brings a sound like no other to this impromptu parade.

The procession is touched with magic when their combined voices, raised in harmony, orchestrate a colorful miracle that graces the sky.

With its vibrant, joyful characters, the easy, musical cadence of the rhyming story, and its timeless message, Coloring the Rainbow is an inspiring story for kids of all ages.
