Colors of Nature

Learning the names of colors is a fundamental part of a child's development. Most of the time, a color is associated with a common object or living thing—a red apple, a green frog, and so on. In this illustrated, conceptual board book, though, colors are emblematic of the seasons of the year. Young readers will make unexpected connections and enjoy pointing out everything in the featured color as they turn from page to page.

Kate Riggs is a Minnesota-based editor and author of children's and young adult nonfiction books. In 2012, her book Dolphins was honored as the winner of the Maryland Blue Crab Young Reader Award for Transitional Nonfiction.

Paolo Domeniconi lives and works in the small Italian city of Spilamberto. After gaining artistic experience in advertising and through various freelance projects, he became interested in children's illustration. Working mainly in digital media, he has since illustrated approximately 40 books for international publishers.
