Mark Monlux, the Grand PooBah of Monlux Illustration, is an award-winning illustrator and cartoonist who began his career in 1985 after achieving his degree in Graphic Art. He currently aids large corporations by drawing editorial and metaphorical cartoons illustrate complex ideas, transforming them into simple images. One of his biggest pleasures in life is watching movies. And like all film nuts, he enjoys sharing his take on what is available in film. It's with a great deal of enjoyment that he applies his talents as an illustrator to make people smile and laugh while sharing his love for the silver screen. Mark's work is whimsical and funny, with an odd charm that's informed by his quirky sense of humor.
Mark Monlux lives in the Fern Hill District of Tacoma, Washington, an area he has often described as a Pacific Northwest version of classic television's Mayberry. He is a founding member of the CLAW (Cartoonists League of Absurd Washingtonians), a group of regional cartoonists who, besides drawing cartoons together, sponsor a student scholarship for those seeking their fame and fortune in the grand endeavor of cartoon art.
