The last four books (from Henry Tudor to the death of George II) of A'Beckett's amusing take on English history with ten hand coloured steel engravings of John Leech. Boards well handled, with rubbed edges and signs of handling. Untidy insc on front pastedown, neater, dated 1898, on prelim. Fep browned, prelim and fep glued slightly to pastedown. Text block untrimmed so handling shows more as edges of pages are squashed, but contents are clean and firm with small foxing spots and a few minor fingermarks. Hinges exposed in a few places. 25 x 18 cm, xiv + 416pps, 1.3kg, might require extra postage if sent outside UK.
