With illustrations drawn from the stuffed animals contributed by Herrmann Plouquet of Stuttgart to the Great Exhibition.All edges gilt. Page edges frayed and darkened, with some loss, up to p.10. Occasional marks. Three-inch tear to frontispiece, partly repaired, Bound in publisher's clean blind-stamped blue cloth, gilt decoration and lettering to upper board and spine. Owner's name and address label to front pastedown and verso of front free endpaper.
