About this title

Synopsis

This book takes a closer look at the prospects of the United States of America forging a civilizational change it urgently needs in order not only to extricate its life from the current moral mess that is Trumpism but also to prevent another catastrophic moral regress from happening again in the future. After a quick review of the Trump mess and an appraisal of the capability of the two major status quo political establishments in the country – the Republican Party and the Democratic Party – to deliver for America the kind of transformation that the American people can believe in, the book takes a stand that the believable prospects lie with the Bernie Sanders’ political revolution. The author applies her Islamic understanding to elucidate why and how Sanders the ‘messenger’, his ‘message’, his methodology, and the impact he has thus far created have the best chances - in spite of expected institutional and non-institutional challenges - of fixing it for America. The author would like to consider this work as a labor of love since she is driven by her Islamic belief that the Sanders’ political revolution speaks to a much larger audience than the 324 millions souls of America. It is to the vital survival interests of that vast humanity the world over that she hopes to serve through her show-casing of the Sanders’ experience.
