Coming Back to Here: Perspectives on Mindfulness Journal

A daily mindfulness practice for noticing, pausing, and returning to the present moment.

Coming Back to Here Journal by Peter J. Favaro, Ph.D. is a 180-day mindfulness journal designed to help readers build the quiet habit of awareness one day at a time. Rather than offering a new assignment each morning, this journal uses a steady, repeated structure to help readers observe their thoughts, emotions, body, reactions, and attention with honesty and compassion.

Each daily entry begins with a short reflection from Coming Back to Here, followed by guided prompts that invite the reader to ask: Where was my attention today? What pulled me away from the present moment? How did my body feel? Did I react, respond, or pause? How did I return to here?

This journal is not about perfection. It is about practice. Some days may feel clear and grounded, while others may feel scattered, emotional, or ordinary. Every entry becomes part of the process. Through simple daily reflection, readers are encouraged to notice themselves more gently, pause before reacting, and return to the present moment with greater awareness.

Ideal for readers interested in mindfulness, self-reflection, emotional awareness, journaling, personal growth, and daily grounding practices, Coming Back to Here Journal offers a compassionate space to slow down, listen inward, and remember that noticing is already a beginning.
