A Commentary on the Book of Psalms

Early Philadelphia edition. 396 [indication of page loss beyond] pp. Contemporary full leather, plain boards, neatly ruled spine, engraved portrait frontispiece of George Horne. Heavy wear to binding; scuffing across boards; corners worn; spine worn with some fraying; pages toned; foxing and staining throughout; prominent old ink inscription and scribbling to the frontispiece leaf. Early 19th-century theological commentary on the Psalms, treating their literal and historical application, with memoir of the author prefixed. Horne's enduring devotional and exegetical work, offering solid shelf appeal in original leather despite clear signs of use and age. .
