Comments on the Taxonomy and Geographic Distribution of Some North American Rodents

Comments on the Taxonomy and Geographic Distribution of Some North American Rodents is a scientific work by E. Raymond Hall and Keith R. Kelson that provides a comprehensive analysis of the taxonomy and geographic distribution of various rodent species in North America. This study aims to clarify the classification of these mammals and document their distribution patterns across the continent. In this paper, Hall and Kelson meticulously examine several rodent families and species, discussing their distinguishing morphological characteristics and evolutionary relationships. The authors reference museum specimens and previous literature to support their taxonomic assessments, highlighting any discrepancies or updates needed in the existing classifications of North American rodents.
