About the Author
The author, a native of Western Massachusetts, is a 1968 graduate of Holy Cross with degrees in Accounting and Economics. His work experience includes forty plus years in the financial, accounting and tax world including a stint with Arthur Andersen, as a partner in both small and medium size CPA firms, owner of his own CPA firm and ten years as Chief Financial Officer of an international consulting company. His experience as a CPA was in the tax and personal planning area, working with individuals and small businesses to achieve their financial goals, minimize their income taxes and advising them on how best to do both. Working with the consulting firm gave him some bigger business exposure and further convinced him that people are people and their needs are very similar regardless of their background, status or financial means. Vin currently lives in Southern Maine with his wife of forty five years and in proximity to his three children and eight grandchildren. "Common Cents Saving" is his first project and was the result of his conclusions drawn from a long career in trying to help people secure their financial goals.
