Common Ground

When her husband disappears, leaving her penniless, Cassie Tipper and her three children are forced to move from their Gracehill home to Hill Common estate, noted for its problems. She hates it, but with no money, no work and three children to care for, how can she escape? And what about the influence the new environment will have on her children? Cassie’s story is about courage in everyday adversity, of finding unexpected friendship, personal triumph and even love in her struggles to fight her way out of Hill Common.

This is Maggie Redding's fifth novel. She writes about ordinary women's ordinary lives. Sometimes these women aspire to be more than ordinary, some succeed, some don't. Most readers will be able to identify with the struggles of the characters. The stories are set in South-East England, where the author lives.
