Item description from seller

Three similar volumes of this book, of various printings. Oldest dates from 1890-95, complete but shelf wear and staining to boards. Interesting adverts to front and 11 attached plates to back. Toning to page edges. Second one was printed between 1897-9, revised after death of author, boards again shelf-worn with staining. Tightly bound, endpapers and textblock clean. Lastly, a 1900 printing with yet again shelf wear and staining. Binding tight, endpapers have offsetting but rest of book clean and complete. All three are without inscriptions, thanks for looking.

Store description

I'm fascinated by vintage books, and the thought of where they've spent their lives! I particularly like book illustrations from 40s, 50s & 60's, and have a collection of books by, and illustrated by, Edward Ardizzone.
