About the Authors

Grace Mitchell has over 60 years of advocating for young children. She is the founder of the Green Acres School in Waltham, MA and is co-founder of both Living and Learning Centres and TelShare Publishing Company. At the age of 70, Grace Mitchell received her Ph.D. from Union Graduate School. The author of A Very Practical Guide to Discipline, Grace is also a past board member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Today Grace can be found traveling extensively speaking, counseling and inspiring teachers and parents.

Lois Dewsnap has taught for more than two decades in the elementary grades in four different states and pioneered the beginning efforts of Head Start Summer Enrichment Programs. Since her retirement Lois has created a whole new career of writing, editing, and providing workshops based upon her extensive teaching experiences. Now a resident of Maine, Lois is the mother of four children and the grandmother of four.
