Communication Protocol and Effective Program Planning

Framing the communication protocol or knowledge/information dissemination model is a fundamental step employed in developing smallholder farming following the generation of knowledge from its source be it the scientific or farming community. This book provides a brief account of the communication protocol and the result based (logical framework) planning technique proposed for disseminating extension and production packages for improving the production and income of smallholder farmers and thereby transforming their agricultural systems and living conditions in developing countries in general and in Ethiopia in particular.

Dr. Habtemariam Abate is an environmental activist working as an Innovation and Large scale Demonstration Project Team Leader in the Agricultural Transformation Agency of Ethiopia. Dr. Abate closely works with international and national actors engaged in the design, formulation, and implementation of agricultural knowledge and innovation.
