Communicative Competence of Teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools

Effective communication lies at the core of education, serving as the cornerstone of teacher-student interactions. Pandharpur Tehsil, located in the Indian state of Maharashtra, encompasses a diverse educational landscape, comprising a mix of English and Semi-English medium schools. English-medium schools, where instruction is primarily conducted in English, coexist alongside Semi-English medium schools, which provide instruction in both English and the regional language, Marathi. The emergence of Semi-English medium schools reflects the linguistic and cultural diversity of Pandharpur Tehsil, where Marathi is the predominant regional language alongside English. These schools cater to the linguistic needs of students from diverse backgrounds, providing a bilingual education that combines proficiency in English with the preservation of regional language and cultural identity.
