The second issue of the theoretical journal of the newly formed Communist Party of Great Britain, which was founded in the summer of 1920. Publication of this issue was delayed by a Special Branch raid on the party's headquarters in May, 1921, in which its Secretary was arrested and all of its papers confiscated. The raid coincided with the publication of the first issue. Content for this issue includes an article by John Langland, "Our Imperial Responsibilities"; biographical information on prominent Russian Communists; "What are the Soviets?" by W. E. Harding (An Outline Sketch); "Art and the Worker" by W. McLaine; "One Step Back, Two Steps Forward: The Economic Position in Russia" by L. Petrovsky; a book review by Frank Tanner; "Capitalist Mexico, Some Dangerous Exaggerations Exposed in the Interests of the Workers"; "The Communist Manifesto: Manifesto to Working Men and Women of all Countries"; "Germany: The Crisis in the Communist Party"; "Draft Constitution of the French Socialist Party"; "America: Summary of C.E.C. Report to Third Convention of the C.P. of A. (and similar reports from other international sections). Stapled, illustrated wrappers printed in black & red on cream paper, 64 p. Slight chipping to the heel, else a well-preserved copy of a scarce issue.
