Add to basketJACK R. GREENE is Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Temple University. He has served on the faculties of Michigan State University and the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. He edited Manaing Police Work (1982) and has conducted numerous evaluation studies. Most recently he has served as a consultant to the Philadelphia Police Department in its effort to implement a city-wide community police program and in the improvement of police training.
STEPHEN D. MASTROFSKI is Assistant Professor of Administration of Justice at the Pennsylvania State University. He has written on police behavior, agency performance, and contemporary reform efforts. His publications include Basic Issues in Police Performance (1982, coauthored), articles and book chapters evaluating neighborhood policing strategies, polic agency accrediation, and the role of elected officials in governing police.
