This book covers the state of the art in image indexing and retrieval techniques paying particular attention in recent trends and applications. Savvas A. Chatzichristofis, PhD, studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), Greece and received the PhD degree from the same department. Yiannis S. Boutalis, PhD, is an Associate Professor and director of the Automatic Control Systems and Robotics Lab of Democritus University of Thrace, Greece.
