This book will be helpful to you. It's important, as you look at its content, not to be intimidated. Approach the subject matter the way you would eat an elephant; one tiny piece at a time. Set your compass to your wants and needs, and begin your study of its chapters wherever you like. If you already know the basics, and want to know more about speech parts then jump to Chapters 4-7. If you're more interested in sentences and paragraphs, you can begin at Chapter 8 (but please review Chapters 4-7; they are foundational). If you're a new learner of English as an additional language and need to better understand ABCs and all about words. Then start at Chapter 2.When you're ready, you may even decide to read the Introduction and Chapter 1. Also important is to make the effort to understand what you read in this book. If you have any problems, perhaps you can ask a good teacher to help you through the tough spots. This book is intended to be a trusted friend in your English language learning journey. About the Author
Guy Corriveau is presently a certified teacher of English as a Second Language with over 4000 hours of one-on-one teaching experience. He holds a B.Sc. degree and a MPA degree. What he enjoyed most throughout his 22-year career in the Canadian Army and almost equally long service to Canadian federal, provincial, and municipal governments, was the recurrent opportunities and experiences teaching, instructing and training adult, and young learners. In 2013, he finally decided to follow in his Dad's footsteps and launched himself into the language teaching profession. He graduated from a Teaching English as a Second Language program in 2014 and has a nationally-recognized professional TESL certificate.
