Companions in Christ Way of Pilgrimage: Participant's Book (1)

Bring the power of Companions in Christ to senior-high youth and college freshmen! Embark on a journey into a deeper understanding of the Christian life through a pattern of scripture, daily exercises and short readings. The Way of Pilgrimage is a five-volume experiential, peer study designed for older youth and written by young adults active in youth ministry. Its focus is to guide our deliberate progress as Christians living out our day-to-day lives (aka spiritual formation).
Consider the spiritual journey as a continuous roadtrip; it's less about where we travel but how. We're on a pilgrimage to mark a journey on the inside. To find it not so easy to separate life from worship.
In this volume of the acclaimed CIC series, you'll explore examples of God's grace in scripture and in the stories of Christians who, throughout the ages, were awakened to grace. The point of which is to discover your truest and best self.
"Whoever you are and wherever you are, I can guarantee that this journey will not leave you unchanged," write the authors. "The call of God is first a call to know and be known...knowing yourself in relation to the One who paints the sunsets and cradles the sparrow. The second part of the call is to be transformed by the One who calls people to serve a hurting world - to find a worthwhile purpose beyond yourself." A Leader's Guide, covering all five volumes in the Way of Pilgrimage series, is also available.
