Companions in Christ Way of Pilgrimage: Participant's Book (2)

In volume one of this Companions in Christ series, senior high and first-year college students were introduced to the comparison of the spiritual life as a pilgrimage. Continuing the allegory, the second title asserts scripture as the definitive travel guide and map for the spiritual traveler. Find strength as you read the biblical stories of fellow pilgrims. Learn to see scripture as a ""home"" to which you'll return in study and meditation. ""Scripture becomes not only the guide for our pilgrimage but the place where we find and hear the One we seek,"" writes Rouse. ""Through scripture we hear most clearly the words God has for us on our pilgrimage. ...Only when we first listen can we follow where God leads."" As you learn to listen for the word of God, allowing it to guide you, you'll come to know who you really are and what you truly seek. The Way of Pilgrimage is a five-volume experiential, peer study designed for youth and written by young adults active in youth ministry. Its focus is to guide our deliberate progress as Christians living out our day-to-day lives (aka spiritual formation). Bring the power of Companions in Christ to older youth!
