23.0 x 15.0cms, 3564pp, four parts in five volumes in brown slipcase. Slipcase has some wear & minor scuffing. Volumes are without jackets and in near fine condition. Previous owner's name. This volume is one of a series of a comparative dictionaries planned to cover the major language families of the world. It deals with the Austronesian or Malayo-Polynesian language family, members of which account for at least 20% of the world's languages today. It consists primarily of an annotated dictionary of synonyms for some 1200 lexical items in 80 different Austronesian languages.
