This small and ephemeral map was probably published in a late 19th-century newspaper or magazine, based on a text clipping on the verso. It shows a visual comparison between the Jordan River in Utah and the River Jordan in Palestine. Both are shown connecting two bodies of water amid a steep valley, with a prominent mountain peak to the south and several large cities on the shoreline. Though a stretch, geographically speaking, the image does provide a very persuasive image of Utah, or 'Deseret', physically mirroring the Holy Land. Sheet Width (in) 3.5 Sheet Height (in) 4.4 Condition Description Small newspaper clipping with minor wear and toning, consistent with age. Very good overall. Seller Inventory # 4057
